There are few jackets designed for the rigors of the outdoors that are as well appointed as our Field Coat. With utility foremost in mind, we started with a superb 24 ounce black melton wool, originally deployed by the US Navy (mil-spec A-A-55198). We designed this coat to be worn like a blazer, but to have unrivaled mobility, comfort, and warmth. This is a jacket of endless possibilities. The Melton Wool Field Coat is made in the USA, and made for inclement weather. In addition to the fine melton wool that defines this jacket, other features include: fully lined arms; British moleskin trim on pocket flaps, collar stand, and cuff lining; an optional storm flap for neck; two exterior bellows pocket, a breast pocket, and two interior pockets.
