Bruce Erikson founded Chacon in 1974. His workshop is in Rociada, New Mexico—nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristos. For 50 years, he and his family have been hand-crafting some of the finest belts and belt buckles in the southwest. For the first time, we’re proud to offer a limited selection of some of their best pieces.
The Eclipse Buckle is lost wax cast from sterling silver and hand-cut with a hardened steel chisel known as a silver graver. There are no mechanical steps to this process. The buckle is finished with a round turquoise cabochon. Every Chacon buckle bears their hallmark on the reverse. This buckle is hinged on the back and is a “trophy” style design that clips in. Our Standard Belt, our Famous Red Belt, or any belt that’s 1.5 inches wide will fit into this buckle.

- Because this buckle is a clip / trophy design, it extends the length of the buckle by almost 3 inches.

- Do not use jewelry cleaners that might damage silver or turquoise
- Use soft sterling silver polishing cloth
- Polish gently to maintain shine
